In a recent development, a 52-year-old man from Myrtle Creek, Oregon, has been apprehended by the Douglas County Interagency Narcotics Team (DINT) on methamphetamine-related charges. The suspect, identified as Randall Slay, is said to have a history of drug-related offenses.

The arrest took place following an ongoing investigation by DINT detectives, who intercepted Slay during a traffic stop on the evening of May 28 in the 900 block of South Main Street. It was suspected that Slay was en route to engage in a drug transaction at a nearby location.

During the traffic stop, a K9 unit was deployed to search Slay’s vehicle for narcotics. The K9, named Trapper, quickly alerted authorities to the presence of drugs. A subsequent search of the vehicle uncovered approximately 173 grams of suspected methamphetamine.

Following this discovery, authorities proceeded to search Slay’s residence, where an additional 134 grams of suspected methamphetamine were found, along with various drug-related paraphernalia such as scales, baggies, pipes, and scoopers.

As a result of the findings, Slay was taken into custody and transported to the Douglas County Jail. He now faces charges including possession, delivery, and manufacture of methamphetamine. Notably, this marks Slay’s third arrest by DINT detectives in the past two years.
