Accident – Death – Obituary News : The Moore County Sheriff’s Office in Carthage, N.C. has recently disclosed 911 calls linked to a shooting incident involving a U.S. Special Operations soldier. Tragically, the shooting resulted in the death of 35-year-old Ramzan Daraev from Chicago, Illinois.

On the 3rd of May, deputies from the Moore County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a residence on Dowd Road following a report from the homeowner about a trespasser on their property taking photographs. Newly unveiled 911 recordings reveal that the homeowner initially described the individual as an “intruder” on their premises. The homeowner’s spouse, identified as a member of the U.S. Army Special Operations Command, engaged in a conversation with the individual, later identified as Daraev.

The homeowner informed the dispatcher that Daraev had displayed aggressive behavior during the encounter. The situation escalated to the point where the homeowner urgently requested police intervention as the tension heightened between the two parties.

Daraev, who was reported to be working as a subcontractor for Utilities One, a New Jersey-based company, was confronted by the homeowner about his presence on the property. The homeowner, in a distressing tone, expressed concern for the safety of their children and property as Daraev allegedly took pictures without permission.

Subsequent to the initial call, a follow-up 911 call was placed by the homeowner, reporting multiple individuals advancing towards their property. The caller disclosed to the dispatcher that Daraev hailed from Chechnya, a detail that added to the complexity of the situation.

When law enforcement officers arrived at the scene, they discovered Daraev located approximately 250 yards from the road, near a powerline on the residential property. Notably, Daraev was not equipped with any utility-related gear or identification at the time of the incident.

A second individual, Adsalam Dzhankutov, was also found in the vicinity by the sheriff’s office on the night of the shooting. Through a translator, Dzhankutov revealed that he and Daraev were separately engaged in utility work in the Carthage area on behalf of Utilities One.

Efforts to obtain information from Utilities One regarding Daraev have been made by CBS 17, with responses pending. The case remains under active investigation by the authorities, as they work to unravel the circumstances surrounding the tragic shooting incident..
