Accident – Death – Obituary News :

In a devastating incident in Kodiak, Alaska, a residential structure fire claimed the life of a 70-year-old woman named Olga Malutin. The incident occurred in the early hours of May 26, prompting a response from the Kodiak Fire Department.

Upon receiving the alert, firefighters rushed to the scene and worked tirelessly to extinguish the flames. During the rescue operation, they discovered Malutin inside the burning building and managed to remove her from the premises. Despite their efforts, she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

Following the tragic event, a Deputy Fire Marshal conducted a preliminary investigation to determine the cause of the fire. It was concluded that the blaze originated in the resident’s bedroom and was likely sparked by an electrical issue.

In light of the circumstances, Malutin’s remains have been transferred to the State Medical Examiner’s Office for further examination. The exact cause of her death is yet to be determined, pending the results of the investigation.
