Accident – Death – Obituary News :
In a disturbing turn of events, a man in Bagalkot, identified as Mounesh Pattar (40), threw acid-laced water on his lover, Lakshmi Badiger (32), causing severe damage to her face and left eye. The incident took place at the victim’s residence in the Gaddankeri cross area of the taluk.
Reports suggest that the attack occurred when Badiger refused to open the door for Pattar, prompting him to throw the acid from a window. The victim, who sustained serious injuries, has been admitted to a government hospital for treatment.
The Kaladagi police have registered a case against the accused and have taken him into custody. Fortunately, Badiger’s eight-year-old daughter, who was present at the time of the attack, managed to escape with only minor injuries.
Both the victim and the accused are said to be residents of the Muranakeri area in Vijayapura city. The motive behind the attack is still under investigation by the authorities.
