June Lee Celino Montes’ Tragic Demise in San Fabian, Pangasinan
On Tuesday, tragedy struck the quiet shores of Barangay Nibaliw Vidal in San Fabian, Pangasinan, as 56-year-old June Lee Celino Montes met his untimely end. Hailing from Bokod, Benguet, Montes had been enjoying a night of revelry with his neighbours, which ended in a fatal twist.
After consuming alcohol, Montes sought solace by the shoreline. Overwhelmed by the effects of inebriation, he succumbed to sleep, unaware of the danger that lurked in the waves. The strong currents carried him away, and it was only later that his companions discovered his lifeless body floating on the shore.
Rushed to the Region 1 Medical Center in Dagupan City, Pangasinan, Montes was pronounced dead, leaving behind a community in mourning.
Benjie Marcelo’s Tragedy on Magat River, Isabela
