AGAWAM, Mass. (WWLP) – An Agawam resident has been linked to the recent stabbing spree that took place in Braintree over the weekend, leaving local residents shocked and concerned.

According to reports, 26-year-old Jared Ravizza, with home addresses in Chilmark, West Tisbury, and Lakeview Circle in Agawam, was arrested in Sandwich after allegedly stabbing multiple individuals at a Braintree movie theater and two employees at a McDonald’s in Plymouth. He was apprehended after leading police on a car chase.

Residents of Agawam expressed their disbelief and unease upon learning about Ravizza’s alleged involvement in the violent incidents. Some shared that interactions with Ravizza in the past had been uncomfortable, adding to the sense of unease in the neighbourhood.

Connection to Connecticut Homicide

In addition to the incidents in Massachusetts, Ravizza has also been connected to a homicide in Deep River, Connecticut, where 70-year-old Bruce Feldman of West Hartford was the victim. Charges related to this case are still pending.

Local resident Sarah Lamb, who frequents the neighbourhood, expressed her shock at the proximity of the violent events to her home. She emphasised the importance of remaining vigilant and aware of those around us.

Following his arrest, Ravizza was arraigned in Massachusetts, with the judge ordering a mental health evaluation. It remains unclear whether Ravizza has a criminal history in the area.
