The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office in the UK has successfully apprehended a man wanted for attempted murder in Grays Hill. The arrest took place following a routine traffic stop conducted by deputies on May 28th at approximately 8:45 p.m. The incident occurred on Trask Parkway near the Howard Johnson in Beaufort.
During the traffic stop, law enforcement officers identified the occupants of the vehicle as 32-year-old Stevetta Jackson and 26-year-old Jamory Russell. Russell was promptly taken into custody on charges of attempted murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.
The arrest warrants against Russell are linked to a shooting incident that transpired on March 25th on Peaceful Way in Grays Hill. Through a thorough investigation, Russell was identified as the prime suspect in the case.
Furthermore, Jackson, the driver of the vehicle, was also arrested for driving under suspension, 3rd or subsequent offense, and habitual offender violation.
