Authorities in LaPlace, Louisiana, are currently investigating a disturbing case involving a kidnapping and sexual assault that took place on May 28th. The St. John Parish Sheriff’s Office is actively seeking information from the public to help bring the perpetrator to justice.
The victim, whose identity has not been disclosed, reported that she was sexually assaulted and forcibly taken from her vehicle while passing through the area. Shockingly, her infant child, 8-month-old Phil Baker, was left behind in the vehicle as the suspect fled the scene.
Description of Phil Baker
Phil Baker is described as having black hair, blue eyes, and a birthmark on the back of his shin. His well-being and safe return are of utmost importance to law enforcement.
Suspect identified as Donnell Hyams
Authorities have identified Donnell Hyams as the suspect in this harrowing case. Efforts are underway to locate both Hyams and young Phil Baker.
