Calvin Zakery Grace : “Fatal Road Rage Incident in Utah: Driver Identified”

SPANISH FORK, Utah (ABC4) — Authorities have revealed the identity of the individual connected to a tragic road rage incident that occurred last month.

Calvin Zakery Grace, a 27-year-old resident of Springville, Utah, has been named as the driver involved in the fatal collision, as per Spanish Fork officials.

The incident, which took place around 2:15 a.m. on April 26, 2024, saw police responding to reports of a road rage situation. According to reports, the suspect was allegedly attempting to ram the victim’s vehicle but ended up crashing into a tree while attempting to flee from law enforcement.

The individual who reported the road rage incident stated that the driver of another vehicle had pulled up alongside them at a traffic light and was staring intently. The caller proceeded to drive onto Highway 6 and then onto 2550 East, with the suspect following closely behind.

Authorities revealed that the suspect made an aggressive attempt to collide with the victim’s vehicle after persistently tailing them.

Following an unsuccessful traffic stop near 400 East 300 South, the suspect reportedly accelerated away from the scene, travelling northbound. Despite efforts to track the vehicle, law enforcement officers eventually located the suspect’s car at 500 North 400 East, where it had collided with a large tree in a residential front yard.

Despite the best efforts of emergency responders to administer life-saving measures, the driver was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
