MANASSAS, Va. –
A man from Virginia has been arrested and charged after police discovered him inside a parked car with a 16-year-old boy in a state of undress in Manassas on Tuesday.
According to authorities, at approximately 2:30 a.m. on May 28, a police officer noticed a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of Fairmont Park in Manassas.
Upon approaching the vehicle to investigate, the officer found a 16-year-old male juvenile and an adult male, later identified as 36-year-old Calvin Jerrod McIlwain, inside the car in the process of getting undressed.
It was revealed that the pair had recently connected on a social media platform and arranged to meet up at the park.
McIlwain cooperated with law enforcement and the teen was safely handed over to his family. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in connection with the incident.
McIlwain is facing charges of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and trespassing. He was released on a court summons and his initial court appearance date has not yet been determined.
