In a devastating road accident that occurred in Rajasthan, a teenage girl lost her life while more than two dozen individuals sustained injuries after a private bus overturned along the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway in Dausa district early Wednesday morning, as confirmed by an official.

The unfortunate incident took place at approximately 5 AM today when the bus, en route from Haridwar to Jaipur and passing through the Bandikui subdivision of the district, lost control and flipped over near Somada village in the Bandikui police station area, revealed Police station in-charge Surendra Malik. Tragically, a 19-year-old girl named Ankita, a resident of Niwai, succumbed to her injuries in the accident, while more than two dozen others were rushed to Dausa District Hospital for medical treatment.

Authorities stated that the exact cause of the bus overturning remains unclear at this point, but initial investigations suggest that the driver may have been fatigued and dozed off behind the wheel.

Local residents acted swiftly as first responders to the scene of the accident, promptly initiating a rescue operation. They promptly notified the Bandikui police station about the incident, prompting a police team to swiftly arrive at the site.

Dr. Mahendra Meena from the District Hospital reported that following the accident, over two dozen injured individuals were brought to the facility, with some being discharged after receiving initial medical attention. The list of those injured in the tragic event includes Chandra Devi (56), wife of Navratan Koli from Amer, Govind (39) son of Deshraj Soni from Bassi, bus driver Om Prakash, bus conductor Braj Sunder Pareek (60) from Bundi, Pawan (37) son of Ramesh Chandra from Jaipur, Surgyan Devi (40) wife of Chhotulal from Tonk, Ramavatar (48) son of Kishanlal from Tonk, Mamta (35) wife of Vijay from Jaipur, Rajesh (28) son of Rohitash Sharma from Chaksu, Mukul Sharma (25) son of Damodar Lal from Jaipur, Nangi Devi (45) wife of Panna Lal from Jaipur, Santosh (50) son of Govind Yogi from Pipalda, Girraj Yogi (25) son of Bharatlal from Bamanwas, Suresh Sharma (52) son of Muralidhar from Jaipur, Arvind (40) son of Girdhari Lal from Jhunjhunu, and Navratan (45) son of Suvalal Mahawar from Jaipur. The bus driver and conductor were discharged after receiving preliminary medical care.

The family members of the deceased girl have been duly informed about the tragic accident.
