HOUSTON, Texas — Authorities in Houston are on the lookout for a man wanted in connection with a violent stabbing incident that took place at a residence on Vailview Drive on Monday evening, May 27. The suspect, identified as 25-year-old Andre Arvin Shaw, has been charged with aggravated assault of a family member in the 351st State District Court.

The Houston Police Department’s Major Assaults & Family Violence Division reported that the victim, a 30-year-old man, sustained multiple stab wounds to the head during a family dispute. The altercation reportedly erupted while the victim was trying to intervene in a physical fight between his sisters. It was then that Shaw, the victim’s brother, allegedly attacked him with a kitchen knife.

Despite managing to disarm Shaw initially, the victim was struck in the head at least three times as he gathered his belongings to leave the scene. Shaw subsequently fled, leaving the victim in need of urgent medical attention. Houston Fire Department paramedics rushed the victim to a local hospital, where he is currently in stable condition.
