Adinda Kanza : “Indonesian Man Shocked: ‘Wife’ Is A Man”

A 26-year-old Indonesian man was left astonished to discover that his newly-wed bride was actually a man. According to the South China Morning Post, the man, using the alias AK, realized this shocking truth only 12 days into their marriage. AK had been deceived by this individual who posed as a woman, with the intention of scamming him for money.

The revelation of this deception left many people in disbelief, especially considering that the couple had dated in person for a year before getting married in April. AK, who comes from Naringgul, a region on the island of Java, first met the “woman” named Adinda Kanza, 26, on social media in 2023.

Their relationship blossomed online, leading to plans for an in-person meeting. AK shared with SCMP that when they finally met, Kanza was dressed in traditional Muslim attire that covered her entire face. Describing herself as a devout Muslim, Kanza’s niqab did not raise any concerns for AK, who saw it as a symbol of her commitment to Islam. The couple proceeded to make arrangements for their wedding.

During the wedding preparations, Kanza mentioned that she had no family to attend the ceremony. Consequently, the couple opted for a simple wedding at AK’s home on April 12. Kanza also brought 5 grams of gold as a dowry, but they did not officially register their marriage certificate.

Trouble arose just 12 days after the marriage when AK noticed that his spouse was hesitant to interact with his family members. She continued to wear her veiled attire at home and avoided intimacy with AK, citing various reasons such as her menstrual cycle or feeling unwell. This prompted the man to investigate further, leading him to discover Kanza’s family address. It was then revealed that Kanza was not an orphan as she had claimed, and that her parents were alive and well. Additionally, he found out that Kanza was actually a man named ESH, who had been cross-dressing since 2020.
