Accident – Death – Obituary News :

On Monday morning, Adams County Deputies made a startling discovery while on patrol in the 1500 block of E. Rosenoff Rd. They stumbled upon a grey Honda Civic parked on private property near a large agricultural sprayer. As they approached the vehicle, they noticed a man walking away from the sprayer before returning to the Honda. Inside the car, they found a woman seated in the front passenger seat.

The individuals, identified as 46-year-old Timothy A. Johnson from Spokane and 46-year-old Roslyn Revelation Acar from Moses Lake, claimed they had pulled over to rest due to fatigue. However, their presence on private property raised suspicions and led to their detention for further investigation. Johnson cooperated and provided his Washington State driver’s license, while Acar, alleging her ID had been stolen, provided her sister’s name and date of birth.

Given recent reports of thefts involving farming equipment and Johnson’s questionable behaviour, deputies requested permission to search the vehicle, which Johnson granted. With assistance from officers of the Ritzville Police Department, a search of the car uncovered a purse containing a bank card not belonging to either Johnson or Acar. Acar stated she had purchased the purse and its contents from someone else, leading to the seizure of the bank card for safekeeping.

Further inquiries revealed that Johnson was under active supervision by the Washington State Department of Corrections following a recent burglary conviction. While Acar’s provided information initially yielded no significant records, her true identity was eventually confirmed.

Upon informing the property owner of the situation, it was decided to pursue criminal trespassing charges against both Johnson and Acar. Johnson cooperated with authorities, waiving his rights and answering their questions, whereas Acar chose to invoke her rights.

During the investigation, a worker hired by the property owner discovered a missing toolbox from a tractor parked within close proximity to the sprayer. Johnson admitted to taking a toolbox from the vicinity of the tractor and placing it in the Honda’s trunk, although he denied taking it from the tractor’s cab.

The Honda Civic was impounded and taken to the Sheriff’s Office impound lot pending a search warrant. Johnson was administratively booked for second-degree criminal trespassing and subsequently released, with potential theft charges pending the search warrant results. Acar, on the other hand, was arrested and booked for second-degree criminal trespassing and providing false information to law enforcement. She also had several outstanding warrants from Benton County, including charges for possession of a stolen vehicle, second-degree identity theft, second-degree burglary, and failure to appear for a drug court intake. Additional charges in Adams County may follow based on the results of the search warrant and further investigations into the bank card found in Acar’s possession.
