Kisumu Central Sub County police boss, Peter Mulai, revealed that the victim, who had previously lived with the man, went to his house late at night and confronted a 25-year-old woman claiming to be his wife. An altercation ensued, during which the victim was allegedly pushed off the balcony after a scuffle.
Following the fall, the man, aged 30, rushed the injured woman to the hospital in his car. Tragically, she was pronounced dead upon arrival at the medical facility due to a severe head injury resulting in excessive blood loss.
Eyewitness Victor Charles recounted that the deceased had followed the man, with whom she had a prior relationship, only to discover another woman in the house. A physical altercation broke out when the victim attempted to enter the residence, leading to the fatal outcome.
The police are conducting investigations into the matter, and once completed, the couple will face murder charges in court. The deceased’s body is currently at the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital mortuary awaiting a post-mortem examination.
