The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) has recently made an arrest in connection to a fatal shooting that took place on April 27 within a restaurant located on the 1300 block of U Street, NW.

According to official MPD reports, officers in the vicinity responded to the sounds of gunshots and swiftly arrived at the scene in the restaurant, where they discovered a man who had sustained gunshot wounds. Despite all efforts to save his life, the victim, identified as 43-year-old Kenneth Goins, tragically succumbed to his injuries.

On May 22, Robert Lowe, aged 40, was taken into custody and subsequently charged with second-degree murder while armed in connection to the incident.
