Patna: The police have made a breakthrough in the case of the brutal murder of a 22-year-old student at a college campus in Bihar. The tragic incident, which took place at Patna BN College, stemmed from a dispute that originated during a celebration last year. The victim, identified as Harsh Raj, a third-year Vocational English student, was fatally attacked recently. The primary suspect in the case, Chandan Yadav, a final-year student at the college, has been apprehended by the authorities. Chandan, believed to be the mastermind behind the assault, has reportedly confessed to his involvement in the crime. The police have also ramped up efforts to locate and apprehend other individuals implicated in the case.

The heinous attack occurred on a fateful Monday as Harsh Raj was en route to an examination at Sultanganj Law College. He was ambushed by a group of 10-15 assailants wearing masks, who viciously beat him with sticks and bricks. Despite being rushed to the hospital for treatment, Harsh succumbed to his injuries. The senseless killing sparked widespread outrage, prompting a series of protests. According to police reports, the altercation between Harsh and Chandan’s factions originated during last year’s Dussehra festivities at the college. The Superintendent of Police revealed that Chandan Yadav cited personal ego as the driving force behind the deadly confrontation.

Footage capturing the brutal assault on Harsh Raj surfaced recently, shedding light on the horrific nature of the crime. Authorities are meticulously reviewing CCTV footage from the college campus in hopes of identifying additional suspects linked to the incident.
