Accident – Death – Obituary News :

Two female flight attendants have filed a lawsuit against former Jacksonville Jaguars kicker Brandon McManus, accusing him of sexually assaulting them during a team flight to London last year. The women, identified as Jane Doe I and Jane Doe II in the court documents, claim that McManus rubbed and grinded against them without their consent.

Allegations and Legal Action

The lawsuit, filed in Duval County Circuit Civil Court, seeks in excess of £1 million in damages and demands a jury trial. McManus’s attorney, Brett R. Gallaway, has denied the allegations, calling them “fictitious and demonstrably false.” The Jaguars have acknowledged the lawsuit and stated their commitment to investigating the matter.

McManus, who was not re-signed by the Jaguars, signed a one-year contract with the Washington Commanders in March. The Commanders have stated that they are aware of the civil lawsuit and are working with the league office to address the allegations.

Details of the Alleged Assault

According to the lawsuit, the incident occurred during a charter flight on September 28, 2023, when McManus and other players allegedly disregarded the flight attendants’ personal space and safety. The women claim that McManus recruited other flight attendants to join a party on the flight, where he encouraged inappropriate behavior by distributing money.

One of the flight attendants, Doe I, alleges that McManus attempted to kiss her during turbulence and made unwanted physical contact while she was serving meals. Doe II claims that McManus also assaulted her during the flight. Both women have suffered mental anguish and distress as a result of the alleged incidents.

Legal Claims and Allegations Against the Jaguars

The lawsuit accuses the Jaguars of gross negligence for failing to properly supervise McManus, train him on appropriate conduct, and enforce a zero-tolerance policy for misconduct. The women claim that they have been removed from their core crew duties due to the incident, affecting their career prospects and causing them embarrassment.

McManus joined the Jaguars in 2023 after being released by the Denver Broncos. He had a successful season with the Jaguars before signing with the Commanders. The allegations against him have raised concerns about the conduct of NFL players and the responsibilities of teams to ensure a safe working environment for staff.
