MACON COUNTY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Tragedy struck on Sunday evening as a fatal ATV crash claimed the life of a 59-year-old man in Macon County, Georgia.
The Georgia State Patrol reported that the incident occurred at 9:32 p.m. on Georgia 127 near Garden Valley Road. The ATV, driven by Bradley Hortman of Reynolds, was traveling east in the westbound lane when the driver lost control of the vehicle, leading to him being ejected from the ATV.
Subsequently, the ATV overturned and tragically came to a rest on top of Hortman, resulting in fatal injuries. Emergency services were called to the scene, but Hortman was pronounced dead at the site of the crash.
The authorities have identified the victim as Bradley Hortman, a resident of Reynolds, aged 59 years old. The Macon County community mourns the loss of a beloved member, and investigations into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing.
