Dumper Accident

A tragic accident occurred at the construction site of the Samruddhi Expressway in Maharashtra’s Thane district, resulting in the death of a labourer and injuries to two other individuals. The incident took place late at night near the Washala bridge in the Kasara area of the district.

According to the police, the labourers, who were working at the site, were resting on the roadside when a dumper passing by accidentally ran over them. The deceased has been identified as Ashok Jadhav, aged 50. His 22-year-old son and a 60-year-old woman were also injured in the accident.

Upon receiving the alert, the police immediately responded to the scene. They transported the body of the deceased to a government hospital for postmortem examination and took the injured individuals to a local hospital for medical treatment.

An FIR has been filed against the dumper driver under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Motor Vehicles Act. However, no arrests have been made at this time.
