The first incident unfolded in Khar, where a 27-year-old youth named Virendra Singh tragically lost his life after being struck by a speeding car at the Neelam Foodland Junction. The driver of the vehicle, identified as Pramila Khumbachandani, was apprehended by Khar police following the incident. Charges were filed against Khumbachandani under Section 279 (rash driving) and Section 304A (causing death by negligence) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Despite being rushed to a nearby government hospital for treatment, Virendra succumbed to his injuries, marking a heart-wrenching end to the unfortunate accident.
In Vikhroli, a similar tragedy unfolded as a mini truck collided with a motorcycle, resulting in the death of a 29-year-old individual. The Vikhroli police acted swiftly, arresting the driver of the mini truck, Baliram Chhotulal Yadav, and initiating legal proceedings against him under relevant sections of the IPC.
Meanwhile, in Powai, another fatal collision took place as a bike collided with a dumper truck on the Jogeshwari-Vikhroli Link Road. The rider of the two-wheeler, identified as Atul Kharose, lost his life in the tragic accident. The Powai police wasted no time in registering a case against the dumper truck driver, Ramzan Nadaf, who was promptly taken into custody.
