Accident – Death – Obituary News : Deputies in Louisiana are currently on the lookout for four inmates who managed to escape from the Tangipahoa Parish Jail on Sunday night, as confirmed by officials. The escaped individuals have been identified as Omarion Hookfin, 19, Avery Guidry, 19, Jamarcus Cyprian, 20, and Travon Johnson, 21, according to Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff Daniel Edwards.

The inmates reportedly made their escape during recreation time in the jail yard, taking advantage of a vulnerable section of the perimeter fence that allowed them to slip through undetected. Sheriff Edwards expressed concern over the breach in security and emphasized the need for increased vigilance in monitoring the jail premises.

Of the four escapees, Johnson, Hookfin, and Guidry were being held in connection with a 2022 homicide case in Hammond, Louisiana, while Cyprian was facing charges related to armed robbery and weapon offenses. Additionally, Hookfin had also been charged with aggravated battery during his time at the Catahoula Parish.

Authorities are urging the public to exercise caution and report any sightings of the escaped inmates to 911 immediately. The search for the fugitives is ongoing, with law enforcement agencies working diligently to ensure their swift recapture and return to custody.
