Judge Judy Sheindlin is speaking out against the escalating crime rates in some of the United States’ major cities, expressing her frustration with the current state of affairs. In a recent interview with Fox News, Sheindlin highlighted her concerns about the societal issues that have led to the rise in criminal activities.

“We got here because a small group of people who have very loud voices created a scenario where bad people got rewarded,” Sheindlin told Fox News. “And the victim got punished by the system.”

The TV judge referenced a recent incident involving actor Steve Buscemi, who was randomly attacked by a homeless man in Manhattan. Sheindlin acknowledged that while there are underlying reasons for criminal behavior, it should not serve as a justification for unlawful actions.

“There is always a reason for criminal behavior — didn’t have a good upbringing, didn’t have two parents in the house, didn’t have one parent in the house, there’s always a reason,” Sheindlin explained. “You’re mentally ill. That’s a reason. You took drugs. That’s a reason. You took alcohol, your brain is fried… Whatever it is.”

However, Sheindlin firmly believes that there is “never an excuse for bad behavior,” emphasizing that society should not tolerate criminal actions. She criticized the trend of making excuses for criminal behavior and urged for a more responsible approach to addressing crime.

Sheindlin also criticized the recent changes in the legal system, particularly in New York, where the minimum age for prosecuting defendants as adults was raised to 18. She argued that individuals who commit serious crimes at the age of 17 should face severe consequences to protect society.

Furthermore, Sheindlin expressed her disappointment in district attorneys who fail to uphold justice and ensure the safety of their communities. She called for accountability among elected officials and emphasized the importance of strong leadership in maintaining law and order.

In conclusion, Sheindlin warned against the consequences of tolerating criminal behavior and urged for a more proactive approach to address the root causes of crime. As she continues her tenure on “Judy Justice,” she remains committed to upholding justice and advocating for a safer society.
