Reports indicate that Wactor caught three individuals in the act of stealing the catalytic converter from his vehicle. When he confronted them, the situation escalated, leading to the fatal shooting. The news of Wactor’s tragic death was first reported by TMZ and later confirmed by his younger brother, Grant. The 37-year-old actor had made a significant impact in the industry with his role in “General Hospital,” appearing in 164 episodes from 2020 to 2022. Additionally, Wactor had showcased his talent in other popular TV shows such as “Westworld” and “Criminal Minds.”

David Shaul, Wactor’s talent agent, expressed his profound grief in a statement to Variety on Sunday. Shaul described Wactor as not only a talented actor dedicated to his craft but also a role model for his work ethic and positive attitude.

“Johnny Wactor was a spectacular human being. Not just a talented actor who was committed to his craft but a real moral example to everyone who knew him. Standing for hard work, tenacity and a never give up attitude. In the highs and lows of a challenging profession he always kept his chin up and kept striving for the best he could be,” Shaul said. “Our time with Johnny was a privilege we would wish on everyone. He would literally give you the shirt off his back. After over a decade together, he will leave a hole in our hearts forever.”
