INDIANAPOLIS — A shooting incident involving two juveniles took place in Logansport on Sunday, prompting a swift response from officers with the Logansport Police Department. The incident occurred at a liquor store located in the 3800 block of East Market Street at approximately 6:39 p.m. after reports of shots fired.
Upon arriving at the scene, law enforcement discovered that a fired round had struck a nearby vehicle, causing damage to the vehicle’s rear driver’s side window. A juvenile who was in the back of the vehicle at the time sustained minor injuries as a result of the shooting but was treated at the scene by medical personnel.
Following interviews with multiple witnesses, investigators were able to identify a suspect in the case. Deputies from the Cass County Sheriff’s Office located the suspect in a vehicle, leading to a successful traffic stop and the subsequent arrest of the individual, who was revealed to be a juvenile.
The juvenile is currently facing four felony charges in connection with the incident:
- Criminal recklessness with a firearm — Level 5 Felony
- Intimidation with a deadly weapon — Level 5 Felony
- Battery on a juvenile with a deadly weapon — Level 5 Felony
- Pointing a firearm — Level 6 Felony
