Accident – Death – Obituary News : In a tragic turn of events in the Kakkad area of Kannur district in Kerala, a dispute between neighbours escalated into a fatal confrontation resulting in the death of a 61-year-old man named Ajayakumar. The incident, which took place at Ajayakumar’s residence in Thulichery Nambiarmotta on the night of May 26, stemmed from an argument over water spillage.
According to the authorities, Ajayakumar confronted his neighbour, T. Devdas, after water used to wash a vehicle spilled onto the road in front of his house. This seemingly trivial issue sparked a heated exchange between the two individuals. Despite efforts by local residents to defuse the situation, Devdas, accompanied by his sons Sanjaydas and Suryadas, allegedly returned to Ajayakumar’s home around 8 pm armed with stones, sticks, and helmets. Tragically, Ajayakumar was attacked and sustained fatal injuries in the altercation.
In a brave attempt to intervene, another neighbour named Praveen Kumar also became embroiled in the violent clash. Despite immediate medical attention and being rushed to the hospital by concerned residents, Ajayakumar tragically succumbed to his injuries.
Law enforcement officials have since apprehended Devdas, his sons, and a migrant worker who was present during the incident. The authorities are conducting a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding Ajayakumar’s untimely demise.
