A 20-year-old man was rushed to an area hospital in the early hours of Monday morning after being struck by a car in a Brockton parking lot. The incident, which occurred at around 1:15 a.m. in the vicinity of 696 Crescent Street, left the victim in serious condition.
Emergency responders swiftly arrived at the scene and transported the injured man to Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. Due to the severity of his injuries, he was later airlifted to a hospital in Boston for further treatment.
According to a spokesperson from the Brockton police, the incident may have been caused by drivers engaging in reckless behaviour, such as performing donuts with their vehicles. It is believed that during these manoeuvres, one of the vehicles lost control and struck the victim.
As of 8:15 a.m., investigators have yet to identify any suspects in connection with the incident. Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward and assist in the ongoing investigation.
