Salem, UK: A heartbreaking incident occurred in Salem, UK, as a seven-year-old girl tragically passed away in her sleep at her residence in Fairlands. The young girl, identified as S Lakshmikumari, suddenly started bleeding from her nose in the early hours of Saturday, leading to her untimely demise.
The Fairlands police inspector, D Gandhimathi, shared that the girl’s mother, S Poojakumari, had fed her chapati and brinjal curry around 9.30 pm on Friday before she went to bed. At around 10.30 pm, Poojakumari noticed her daughter bleeding from her nose and immediately rushed her to a nearby private hospital for medical attention.
Upon examination, the doctors advised transferring Lakshmikumari to the Salem government Mohan Kumaramangalam Medical College and Hospital (SGMKMCH) for further treatment. Tragically, despite all efforts, the young girl was pronounced dead at the SGMKMCH around 12.30 am.
The police inspector mentioned that the vital organs of the deceased have been sent for a viscera test to determine if any poisonous substances were present in the food consumed by the girl. A case has been registered, and investigations are currently underway to uncover the cause of this tragic incident.
