LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) — Tragedy struck at Central Virginia Community College on Sunday morning when a woman lost her life in a motorcycle crash in the parking lot.
Emergency services were called to the scene at 9:50 a.m., where they discovered the woman with severe injuries. Despite their best efforts, she was pronounced dead upon arrival at Lynchburg General Hospital.
The victim has been identified as 53-year-old Marnie Lacy from Woodbridge.
The Lynchburg Police Department’s Traffic Safety Unit is currently investigating the crash. Anyone who witnessed the incident is urged to contact Officer J. Farrar on (434)-455-6047 to provide any information that may assist with the investigation.
