Patna: A tragic incident unfolded in Sarewan village under Bhabua police station in Kaimur district on Saturday morning, as a man allegedly killed his 28-year-old wife, Kajal Devi, for opposing his illicit relationship with another woman. The victim, daughter of Omprakash Bind from Dhaneksha village, was found dead in a suspicious condition by authorities.
The husband, Sunil Bind, and his family members are currently on the run, with conflicting claims over the cause of Kajal’s death. While her father has filed a complaint accusing her husband and in-laws of murder, the latter insists that she died by suicide.
Upon inspection, Bhabhua police station in-charge, Mukesh Kumar, noted deep injury marks on various parts of Kajal’s body, along with a mark on her neck. The body has been transferred to Sadar Hospital in Bhabhua for post-mortem examination.
Further revelations came to light as Kajal’s uncle, Jai Prakash Bind, informed the police about the alleged financial exploitation by her husband. Sunil had reportedly been pressuring Kajal to bring money from her parent’s home to cover household expenses.
An official complaint has been registered against five individuals in connection with the case, and authorities are currently conducting raids to apprehend the accused parties.
