The incident occurred at approximately 6:45 p.m. on Saturday at the intersection of Balboa Boulevard and Palm Street. Police have indicated that alcohol may have played a role in the tragic accident.
The young girl, whose identity has not yet been released, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the pickup truck, identified as 30-year-old Joseph Alcazar from Fontana, remained at the site of the incident and cooperated with authorities.
