GREENSBORO, N.C. — Authorities in Greensboro are currently investigating a tragic shooting incident that resulted in the death of one individual.
According to reports, the incident took place on Saturday afternoon at approximately 4:38 p.m. at the intersection of Kenneth Road and Nandina Drive. Upon receiving a distress call regarding a shooting, Greensboro Police and Guilford County EMS swiftly responded to the scene.
Upon arrival, emergency medical personnel discovered an adult male victim inside a vehicle on the road. Despite their efforts to save his life, the victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Following initial investigations, law enforcement officials determined that the shooting was a deliberate act of violence. The area was cordoned off as a crime scene, and Greensboro Police Department’s homicide detectives, along with forensic crime scene investigators, were summoned to gather evidence.
The deceased has been identified as 23-year-old Jayard Khali Amir Little. Family members of the victim have been notified of the tragic incident.
Regrettably, this marks the 16th homicide in Greensboro in the year 2024.
