Accident – Death – Obituary News :

A 30-year-old man, identified as Jagan Laxman Jangle, who was the sole breadwinner of his family, has tragically lost both his legs after falling from a moving local train in Maharashtra’s Thane district adjoining Mumbai, according to a Government Railway Police (GRP) official.

The incident occurred on May 22 in the Kalwa area as Jangle was standing on the footboard of a crowded local train while travelling from Dadar in Mumbai to Kalyan in Thane, the official revealed.

Jangle, a resident of Kalyan who worked at a book depot in Dadar, had recently gotten married and was supporting his family as the only earning member, the police stated.

He unfortunately lost his balance, fell onto the tracks after the train passed Thane station, and was run over by the moving local train, based on statements from the man’s brother, doctors, and eyewitnesses.

Upon receiving a report of an injured man near the Thane creek, GRP personnel promptly arrived at the scene and rushed Jangle to the nearby Chhatrapati Shivaji Hospital in Kalwa for treatment, the official added.

As of now, the investigation has not determined if Jangle was pushed or if he fell accidentally. The police are continuing to investigate the incident to gather more information.

Our thoughts are with Jagan Laxman Jangle and his family during this difficult time.
