Accident – Death – Obituary News :
Two young men sustained injuries in a single-vehicle accident on Highway 151, located five miles north of Clarence, during the early hours of Sunday morning. The incident took place around 6:20 a.m. on May 26, 2024, as reported by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The vehicle involved in the crash was a 2011 Toyota Camry, which suffered extensive damage and had to be towed from the scene by Leonard Auto Works. The car, driven by a 17-year-old male juvenile from Edina, Missouri, lost control on the wet road surface, veered off the left side of the road, and collided with a ditch.
The juvenile driver was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident and sustained minor injuries. He was promptly taken to Samaritan Hospital by Monroe County Ambulance for medical attention.
On the other hand, an 18-year-old male passenger, identified as Elijah J. Brown from Edina, Missouri, was not wearing a seat belt and suffered moderate injuries. Brown was also transported to Samaritan Hospital by Monroe County Ambulance for treatment.
The response to the accident was supported by the Shelby County Sheriff’s Department, Clarence First Responders, and Monroe County Ambulance.
