In a tragic turn of events, the body of a transgender woman from St. Louis has been discovered along the banks of the Mississippi River. The victim has been identified as 23-year-old Darri Moore, whose untimely death has left her family and friends in shock.

According to sources close to Moore, there is suspicion surrounding the circumstances of her death, with loved ones adamant that she would never have taken her own life. Childhood friend Izzy Baker expressed disbelief, stating, “She was not by herself. She loved herself too much to walk out on that river.”

The grim discovery was made after employees at Tower Rock Stone in St. Genevieve, Missouri, alerted authorities to the presence of a body along the water’s edge on May 1. Unfortunately, due to the advanced state of decomposition, the cause of Moore’s death could not be determined during the autopsy.

While foul play has been ruled out by police, the case remains shrouded in mystery, prompting detectives to seek assistance from the public in unraveling the events leading to Moore’s demise.

Baker lamented the lack of closure for Moore’s family, emphasising the need for answers. A fundraising campaign on GoFundMe has been launched to help cover funeral expenses, with the hope of shedding light on the dangers faced by transgender individuals.
