BRAINTREE, Mass. : “4 Girls Stabbed at MA Theater, Suspect Arrested”

BRAINTREE, Mass. — A man is currently in custody following two separate stabbing incidents that occurred in Braintree and Plymouth, Massachusetts on Saturday.

According to the Braintree Police Department, the first incident took place around 6 p.m. at the AMC Braintree 10. The man entered the movie theater without paying and proceeded to a theater where he encountered four young girls. Without warning, he allegedly began stabbing them.

After the attack, the suspect fled the scene. The injured girls were promptly taken to the hospital for treatment. Fortunately, their injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening. The victims ranged in age from 9 to 17 years old, as stated by the police.

Police were able to track the suspect’s movements through surveillance footage from the AMC 10. They identified the suspect leaving the area in a Black SUV, and further investigation led to the discovery of the vehicle’s license plate.

In a separate incident an hour later, two additional individuals were stabbed at a McDonald’s in Plymouth. The victims, a 21-year-old woman and a 29-year-old man, sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Massachusetts State Police pursued the suspect’s SUV following the McDonald’s incident, which eventually led to a crash in Sandwich and the suspect’s subsequent arrest.

Connecticut State Police have informed authorities that the suspect is connected to a death investigation in their state. The incident in Connecticut occurred on the same day, with police responding to a disturbance call and discovering a deceased individual at the scene. The identity of the deceased has not yet been confirmed.

As of now, the suspect remains unidentified.

It has not been confirmed if the Connecticut case is linked to the incidents in Massachusetts. The investigation is ongoing.
