A 15-year-old boy has been taken into custody for the suspected murder of a 50-year-old man who had reportedly sexually assaulted him multiple times in a village in Muzaffarnagar. The body of the man was discovered in his residence on May 20, leading to an investigation by the police. The teenager was apprehended on Saturday and has since been placed in a juvenile detention facility.
Charges Against the Teenager
The teenager is currently facing charges of murder following a complaint lodged by the man’s family with the local authorities. According to Superintendent of Police (Rural) Aditya Bansal, the deceased had allegedly sodomised the minor and recorded an explicit video of the incident.
Blackmail and Self-Defence
The young boy has claimed that the man, who had been harassing him incessantly, was using the explicit video to blackmail him. Feeling cornered, the teenager recounted how the man had coerced him into visiting his home by threatening to release the video online. In a moment of desperation and self-defence, the boy picked up a sharp object nearby and attacked the man’s head and throat, resulting in his death, as stated by the SP.

In a separate incident in Madhya Pradesh, a former mill worker named Brajesh Kushwaha was arrested for allegedly raping at least seven tribal college students using a voice-morphing application. The accused, despite being illiterate, used technology to deceive and commit a series of heinous crimes by posing as a female college teacher and promising scholarships to the students from Sidhi district.
Furthermore, in May of this year, a pregnant woman was tragically raped and murdered in Nandri village, Dausa. The horrific incident sparked widespread outrage, leading to the villagers taking matters into their own hands by vandalising and setting fire to the houses of the accused and his relatives. The enraged crowd even targeted police officials who arrived at the scene, pelting them with stones and vandalising their vehicles.
