Surendra Kumar Agarwal : “Pune Police Arrest Grandfather in Porsche Crash Case”

Following the tragic incident in Pune City earlier this week, the Pune Police Crime Branch unit has taken action by arresting the grandfather of the minor accused of causing the fatal collision. The incident involved a Porsche car allegedly driven by the minor, resulting in the death of two motorcycle-borne individuals.

Pune: The Pune City Police Commissioner, Amitesh Kumar, confirmed the arrest of the minor’s grandfather, who now faces a separate FIR under IPC sections 365 and 368 in connection with the tragic incident.

On Thursday, the Pune City Police questioned the 17-year-old’s grandfather regarding the collision that claimed the lives of two IT professionals in Kayani Nagar. The teenager, allegedly driving the luxury car while intoxicated, collided with the victims on their motorcycle.

Additionally, the minor’s father, Vishal Agarwal, has also been implicated in the case and booked under multiple IPC sections, including 342, 365, 368, 506, and 34, based on a complaint filed by the family driver, Gangadhar.

Gangadhar’s complaint detailed how he was coerced by Surendra Agarwal and Vishal Agarwal to take responsibility for the incident, leading to his unlawful confinement in their bungalow. This attempt to shift blame from the minor accused to the driver resulted in legal consequences for the family members.

The accused teenager has been placed in an observation home by the Juvenile Justice Board after initially being granted bail. Similarly, Vishal Agarwal remains in Yerawada Central Prison following his judicial custody extension for 14 days.

Pune Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar has expressed intentions to pursue adult charges against the minor accused and investigate the involvement of the employed driver of the Porsche car. Efforts to uncover the truth behind the incident continue as the police delve deeper into the circumstances surrounding the collision.
