Authorities were alerted to the scene at the intersection of N.W. 28th Street and Prosper Avenue just before 12:30 a.m. following reports of a serious accident. Upon arrival, investigators determined that a vehicle had collided with a woman who was walking in the traffic.
Tragically, the victim, identified as Rosa Ana Barron by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s website, succumbed to her injuries at the scene. The driver of the vehicle, 23-year-old Alexia Lopez, was taken into custody and has been charged with intoxicated manslaughter with a vehicle, as confirmed by jail records.
