According to SDOP Vimlesh Uike, Pooja Banjara had been married to Kaptaan Banjara for a few years before the unfortunate incident took place on Friday night. The family members of the deceased have come forward with disturbing claims, stating that Pooja was a victim of harassment for dowry by her in-laws. They firmly believe that she was killed and then hanged to make it appear as a suicide.
In response to the serious allegations, the police have taken action by registering a case of dowry death against the in-laws. Additionally, Pooja’s husband has been detained for questioning as part of the ongoing investigation. He recounted a previous incident in August 2022, where Pooja was assaulted, resulting in her needing seven stitches on her head.
