HOUSTON, Texas — The Houston police are currently investigating a tragic incident that occurred at a residence on 1114 Choate Circle Drive. The incident, which took place around 9:05 p.m. on Thursday, May 23, resulted in the deaths of a 17-year-old male, a 23-year-old female, and a 26-year-old male.
The identities of the victims are still pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. According to HPD Homicide Division Sergeant N. Lazo and Detective M. Providence, the male suspect involved in the incident was taken to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Upon receiving a call about a shooting at the residence, HPD patrol officers arrived to find an unresponsive woman with multiple gunshot wounds in the kitchen. Next to her was a male with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene by Houston Fire Department paramedics, while the male suspect was rushed to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries the following day.
Further investigation revealed that a second male victim had also been shot multiple times. He was initially taken to a nearby HFD station by a family member before being transported to UTMB Health Clear Lake Campus Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
It was discovered that the female victim and the suspect had previously been in a dating relationship. Additionally, the 17-year-old male victim was identified as the cousin of the female victim’s current partner. The investigation into this tragic incident is still ongoing.
