Accident – Death – Obituary News : In a shocking incident in Nagpur, an unidentified assailant brutally murdered a 40-year-old labourer, Madhukar Bagde, by smashing his head with a stone while he was sleeping on a footpath in front of a private hospital near Indora. The heinous crime took place in the early hours of Friday, leaving the victim motionless with blood splattered all around. Cops investigating the case have acquired crucial CCTV footage capturing the entire incident.
According to police reports, the murder is believed to have occurred between 2am and 5am. Surprisingly, robbery does not seem to be the motive behind the brutal act as Bagde had ₹2,000 cash in his pocket which the assailant left untouched. Senior inspector Baburao Raut of Pachpaoli police station, where the murder case was registered, stated, “Bagde was likely murdered due to some personal reason or enmity.”
The chilling CCTV footage shows Bagde arriving at the spot near the hospital around midnight and settling down to sleep on a cement slab. Throughout the night, he is seen waking up on a couple of occasions for relieving himself and spitting. Additionally, the footage captures two suspicious men passing by the spot around the time of the murder.
The lifeless body of Bagde was first discovered by a dentist in the morning as he arrived to open his clinic. The dentist immediately alerted the authorities, leading to the initiation of a murder investigation. Bagde, described as a vagabond and addicted to liquor, had been deserted by his wife after a decade of marriage. She currently resides with her parents near Krida Chowk.
Sources reveal that Bagde had no criminal record or known rivalries with anyone, leaving authorities puzzled as to the motive behind the gruesome murder. As part of their investigation, the police plan to visit nearby liquor dens to ascertain if Bagde was involved in any altercations that could have led to his untimely demise.
The CCTV footage, which has been widely circulated on social media platforms, has helped in identifying the victim. Efforts are underway to identify the suspects captured in the footage as well. Senior PI Raut mentioned that Bagde resided in Bhandar Mohalla in Indora.
In a bid to shed light on the case, the police are exploring all possible leads and avenues. The community is urged to come forward with any information that could aid in solving this tragic crime.
