A tragic incident unfolded near Linstead, St Catherine, as a 37-year-old taxi operator, Kion Bartley, known as ‘Rim Head’, was fatally shot this afternoon. Bartley, a resident of Bongo Town in Victoria district, Linstead, met his untimely demise in a senseless act of violence.
According to reports, the community was startled by the sound of gunshots around noon. Concerned residents investigated the source of the noise, only to discover Bartley’s lifeless body lying in a pool of blood at the side of a road. He had sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was dressed in jeans shorts, a merino, and black shoes.
Police Response and Investigation
Upon receiving the distress call, law enforcement officers swiftly responded to the scene. The area was cordoned off, and a thorough investigation was initiated. Bartley’s body was carefully processed and subsequently transported to the morgue for further examination.
