In a tragic incident in Nagpur, three individuals, including a child, sustained injuries after being struck by a speeding car in the Zenda Chowk area under the jurisdiction of Kotwali police on Friday evening, as confirmed by the authorities.
Following the collision, police took custody of three individuals, including the reckless driver responsible for the accident.
Victims of the Accident
The casualties of the incident include a woman, a three-year-old child, and another individual. The police have arranged for the accused to undergo medical examinations, and the process of initiating legal proceedings is currently underway. Subsequent to the accident, enraged bystanders vandalised the car.
Gorakh Bhamre, DCP of Nagpur, provided additional details on the incident, stating, “A woman, her child, and another person sustained injuries after being struck by a speeding car at approximately 8:30 pm in the Zenda Chowk area of Kotwali Police Station. One of the accused was apprehended by the public. The police have detained three youths, including the driver of the car, in connection with the case. Liquor bottles and illicit substances were seized from the vehicle. The accused are undergoing medical tests, and a legal case is being registered.”

In a separate incident, a minor crashed his luxurious Porsche into two IT professionals riding a motorcycle, resulting in their immediate demise on May 19.
The victims of this tragic incident were identified as Ashwini Koshta and Aneesh Awadhia, both young IT professionals from Madhya Pradesh, who lost their lives in the collision on the night of May 19.
