Tragedy struck on Sunday, May 25 in McDuffie County, Georgia, as a motorcycle accident claimed the life of Edward Hyde, a 73-year-old resident of Montgomery, Alabama. The incident occurred at 6:33 a.m. on I-20 at the 176 mile marker.

According to McDuffie County Coroner Paul Johnson, Hyde was travelling eastbound on I-20 when his motorcycle suddenly veered off the road, crashing into the traffic barrier cables on the westbound side of the interstate. Despite the efforts of emergency responders, Hyde tragically succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
