Accident – Death – Obituary News : A shocking incident has come to light in Madhya Pradesh, where a man has been accused of posing as a woman college teacher and raping at least seven girls. The accused, identified as 30-year-old Brajesh Prajapati, was arrested from Sidhi district in Madhya Pradesh.
According to the police, Brajesh Prajapati would call the girls under the guise of completing documentation for scholarship funds. Most of the victims targeted by the accused belong to tribal communities. The modus operandi involved Prajapati calling the girls while pretending to be a woman college teacher from a college in Tikari, asking them to meet for completing documentation to release their scholarship funds.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has ordered a special investigation team (SIT) to probe the case. Three associates of Brajesh Prajapati have also been arrested in connection with the crime.
The accused used an app to change his voice to sound like a woman during phone conversations with the girls. After committing the heinous crime, Prajapati would snatch away the victims’ mobile phones. One of the victims recounted how Prajapati, wearing a helmet and gloves, picked her up on a motorcycle, took her to a secluded area, and allegedly raped her.
During the investigation, police discovered burn marks and injuries on Prajapati’s hands, leading to his arrest. While he confessed to raping seven girls, four victims have filed official complaints. The Inspector General (IG) mentioned that Prajapati could have assaulted more girls, indicating an ongoing investigation.
In addition to Brajesh Prajapati, his accomplices Lavkush Prajapati, Rahul Prajapati, and Sandeep Prajapati were apprehended, and 16 mobile phones were recovered from them. One of the associates was a college student who obtained contact details of girls from a college WhatsApp group.
This disturbing case highlights the need for stringent measures to protect vulnerable individuals from such predators. The authorities are urging anyone with information or who may have been a victim to come forward and assist in the investigation.
