The Kochi City police have taken into custody a YouTuber following a complaint filed by a woman, alleging that he produced a video that depicted her and her mother in a demeaning and sexually suggestive manner. The individual arrested has been identified as 45-year-old Baiju, a resident of Amarambalam in Malappuram. The complainant is employed by another online platform.

The woman provided evidence in the form of videos that the accused purportedly disseminated through his online channels. Additionally, it is claimed that the accused spread malicious gossip about the woman’s six-year-old child and made offensive remarks on Facebook under the child’s photo. The Town North police, aided by the Kochi City Cyber Cell, gathered information on the videos shared by the accused and subsequently apprehended him. The devices used to create and publish the videos were also confiscated as part of the investigation.
