Accident – Death – Obituary News : In a shocking development, the 17-year-old boy involved in the Pune Porsche crash case, along with his father, has made a surprising assertion that their family driver was the one at the wheel during the accident. This revelation has introduced a new level of complexity to the case. The teenager’s two companions, who were present at the time of the crash, have corroborated his claims, as reported by India Today. Adding to the confusion, the family driver, in his initial statement, affirmed that he was driving the Porsche at the time of the accident. Vishal Agarwal, the boy’s father, has also insisted that their family’s driver was indeed behind the wheel, according to India Today.

The teenager, the son of real estate magnate Vishal Agarwal, was inside the vehicle that collided with a motorbike, resulting in the deaths of two individuals. He was apprehended and granted bail the following day. However, a Pune court revoked his bail a day earlier and ordered him to be placed in a juvenile facility until June 5th.

The driver is scheduled for further interrogation by authorities as they delve deeper into the case. Moreover, the Pune crime branch is investigating Surendra Agarwal, the boy’s grandfather, to gain more insights into the family dynamics and interactions leading up to the accident.

Subsequently, the police have decided to probe potential breaches in protocol following the incident, including allegations of “preferential treatment” towards the 17-year-old, prompting an examination of the actions taken by officers and staff at the Yerwada police station. One of the primary accusations involves a delay in conducting a crucial medical examination to ascertain the boy’s blood alcohol content.

Additionally, an opposition politician has raised concerns about the teenager being handled with leniency and reportedly receiving pizzas and burgers while in custody. The controversy escalated when the Juvenile Board initially granted the boy bail within 15 hours, subject to specific conditions. However, following public outcry, the decision was reversed, and the teenager was remanded to a juvenile facility until June 5th. Officers and staff at the Yerwada police station will undergo questioning, as per a report.

The teenager was remanded to the observation home by the Juvenile Justice Board (JJB) on Wednesday following public outcry over swift bail and the police’s review plea. A senior police official mentioned that during his stay at the observation home, the juvenile will undergo psychological assessments. The police have lodged an FIR against the minor under IPC sections 304 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder), 304 A (causing death by negligence), 279 (reckless driving), and relevant sections of the Motor Vehicles Act.
