Haveri, Karnataka: Four individuals, including a seven-year-old girl, tragically lost their lives in a devastating car accident in Haveri district, Karnataka. The incident occurred in the early hours of Thursday when their vehicle fell off a bridge on National Highway 48 near Halageri in Ranebennur Taluk.
According to officials from Haveri Police, the car was en route to Tirupati when it veered off the bridge, flipping over on the service road below. The victims have been identified as Suresh (45), Aishwarya (22), Chetana (7), and Pramila (28), all residents of Ashwini Nagar in Haveri. Tragically, Suresh, Aishwarya, and Chetana lost their lives at the scene, while Pramila passed away during treatment at Ranebennur Government Hospital.
In addition to the fatalities, six other individuals sustained serious injuries in the accident. Channaveerappa Jadi, Savitra Jadi, Vikas Barki, Prabhuraj Samagandi, Geeta Bharki, and Honnappa Barki are currently receiving medical care at Ranebennur Government Hospital.
Haveri SP Anshukumar visited the accident site to conduct an investigation. A case has been registered at Ranebennur Traffic police station, and authorities are examining CCTV footage from nearby areas to determine the cause of the tragic incident.
