Details of the May 17 Shooting

At 11:37 a.m., authorities responded to the 1500 block of Sandy Lane following reports of a car crashing into a fence at a nearby apartment complex. Witnesses observed a man, later identified as Walker, emerging from the vehicle and dragging the driver, Sher Ali, out of the car. Sher Ali was found with multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Witnesses provided descriptions of Walker’s actions, leading to the discovery of Sher Ali’s vehicle with bullet holes and bloodstains. Further investigations linked Walker to the crime scene through witness testimonies and surveillance footage.

Walker, also known as “Eastwood Lil Mike,” was apprehended by the police the next day and a handgun was recovered near his location. Evidence including his tattoos and physical appearance aligned with witness descriptions, implicating him in the fatal shooting.

Impact on Family

Sher Ali’s untimely death has left his family devastated. Fleeing from Afghanistan to ensure their safety in America, Sher Ali was the primary provider for his wife and two young children. A fundraising campaign has been initiated by friends to support the family in this challenging time, with donations pouring in to assist with their financial needs.

Tragically, Sher Ali’s plans to relocate his family to a safer neighbourhood were cut short by the senseless act of violence that claimed his life. His dedication to protecting his loved ones serves as a poignant reminder of the sacrifices made by many in pursuit of a better life.
